The main purpose of the Classification
Compare tool is to help users tackle the difficult problem of estimating
the number of clusters present in their data, by enabling them to compare
various classifications of their data in a very intuitive manner. In particular,
comparing classifications of their data into different numbers of clusters
gives them an additional insight of the structure of your data.
The figure on the left shows the Classification
Compare window, displaying the evolution of classification of the Rat
data in the demo version of GeneSpring, as it is classified by ArrayMiner
into three through eight clusters.
