The Main Window Heat Map Panel

The heat map of the clustered data is shown in the Heat Map Panel. Each cluster has an ID, a Size, and a color code. In the example on the left, the cluster on the top has the ID 8, contains 94 genes, and has color code dark gray. Each separator in the Heat Map Panel identifies the cluster below it.

At any time, a cluster is selected. The selected cluster is marked by a blue border in the Heat Map Panel, and genes it contains are shown in the Profile Panel and the List Panel. Clicking the heat map of a cluster in the Heat Map Panel selects the cluster, and the other panels are updated accordingly to reflect the new selection.

The heat map is scrollable with the scroll bar on the right of the list, or with the mouse wheel. To speed up the scrolling, not all genes are shown in the map during scrolling.

The height of each gene in the heat map is governed by the position of the "Heat Map size y" slider in the Button Panel.

The width of the heat map can be adjusted by clicking the left mouse button in the separator area just on the right of the heat map's scrollbar, and dragging the mouse while keeping its button depressed.
