How do I create a classification from clipboard ?

    The coloring scheme panel and the classification compare window give you the possibility to generate a classification from clipboard. Two fomats are available :

  • Binary Classification : Simply copy into the clipboard a list of genes. They will be grouped in a cluster, the non present genes will be assigned to another one. The list must contain one gene per line as depicted in the following sample :

    YKL039W
    YOR316C
    YKL148C
    YOR317W

    This list will generate a cluster with four genes and another cluster with all the other genes

  • Multi Cluster Classification : This option lets you generate a multi cluster classification. Each cluster must begin with the line >>Name of the cluster. The genes must then be inserted as above :

    >>Periodic Descending
    YFL060C
    YNL334C
    YBL086C
    >>Descending
    YPR184W
    YGL226W

    This list will generate a three clusters classification. The first cluster contains three genes and is named "Periodic Descending", the second one contains two genes and is named "descending". A third cluster will be created with all the genes not present in the first or second cluster.
